Thousands of years ago, magic was accessible to all creatures that had the determination to come upon it. Human's wrote documents of 'their' successes and what 'they' managed to create though what remained unknown was that there was only one Great Being that held all the power. The Great Mother always appeared to any creature who came across her as a creature of their being. She was believed to have come from one of the many realms that aligned itself against ours though she was very rarely seen herself. There was a time that the powers were able to live in harmony though with every good their must come an evil. A being grew jealous over the Great Mothers powers and those of the ones that she and the guardians granted to surrounding creatures. The Dark Being played out a plan to turn the Four Elemental Guardian's against each other and the mother. The Guardian's of Fire, Earth, Water and Air raged war against each other, wreaking havoc over the Earth. Once the Great Mother caught word of what was happening within the Guardian's world she grew enraged. She sealed the Four Elemental Guardian's into four separate peaks and The Dark Being went into hiding until thye could find a way to gain power over the Four Elemental Guardian's and eventually defeat The Great Mother.

After the Elemental Guardian's were locked away the world slowly began to forget about magic and with the forgetting of her creation the porthole between The Great Mother's realm slowly began to seal itself. Now the land is inhabited by wild equines, human's unable to access it due to the land being 'lost' within a magic veil. There are rumors that if you can reach the guardian's they may award you with powers though they may also take what's held dear to you for payment.
